Imprinted Echoes

Artist Statement

“Imprinted Echoes” is my exploration of the silent dialogue between intention and chance. By layering bold acrylic brushstrokes with real‑leaf and found‑object stampings, I weave together the deliberate and the accidental. Each imprint—whether a frond’s delicate veins or the rough texture of bark—carries its own history, resonating beneath the surface of paint. In this piece, I invite you to listen to those echoes: to feel how nature’s quiet marks can shape our perception and stir hidden memories.

Art Description

In this 36″×24″ mixed‑media painting, vibrant swaths of color collide with organic imprints—leaves, twigs, and other everyday textures pressed into wet paint. The contrast between sweeping gestures and the precise, almost forensic detail of each stamp creates visual tension. Deep shadows accentuate the crevices of each imprint, while washes of translucent pigment reveal underlying layers. “Imprinted Echoes” is both a map of the natural world and a mirror for our own impressions: how small moments leave lasting traces.
